[Italian High Renaissance Painter and Inventor, 1452-1519]

• Also known as:  Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci
Léonard de Vinci
• Relationships: Uncle of Pierino da Vinci.
Studied under Andrea del Verrocchio.
Leonardo's students included Andrea Solario, Bernardino Luini, Cesare da Sesto, Francesco Melzi, Ambrogio de Predis and Giovanni Antonio Boltraffio.
Subject of the book and recent movie The Da Vinci Code.
